Day 1: From Perth to Augusta
Our adventure commences as we depart from Perth, heading south through the city's charming southern suburbs. Along the way, you'll be treated to picturesque views that set the tone for the incredible experiences that await. We'll make a stop at the Dawesville Cut, a man-made marvel connecting the Indian Ocean to the Peel-Harvey Estuary. It's a perfect opportunity for a leisurely stroll and some memorable photos.
Our next destination is the renowned Busselton Jetty, one of the world's longest wooden jetties. While the jetty was operational for decades, it still stands as a testament to historical grandeur. You'll have time to wander along its weathered planks, taking in sweeping vistas of Geographe Bay. It's a scene that could be plucked from a postcard.
Afterward, we make our way to Yallingup, where you'll enjoy lunch at your leisure (not included in the tour price). This serene coastal town is known for its crystal-clear waters, pristine beaches, and a relaxed atmosphere that embodies the essence of the region.
But the wonders of Day 1 don't end there. Prepare to be amazed as we explore Ngilgi Cave, a subterranean realm adorned with mesmerizing stalactites and stromatolites. It's a unique experience that takes you deep into the earth's magical wonderland.
As the day unfolds, our journey leads us through ancient Tuart Forests and towards the charming Margaret River township. Here, you'll have the opportunity to savour exquisite wines at a local winery, indulge your sweet tooth with a chocolate tasting at the Margaret River Chocolate Company, and bask in the region's delightful flavours.
Our final stop for the day is Augusta, where you'll enjoy a restful night, replete with the memories of the day's adventures.
Day 2: Augusta to Pemberton
Day two promises a series of unforgettable experiences, starting with a visit to Cape Leeuwin, the southwestern tip of Australia. At this iconic location, you'll be captivated by the powerful ocean views, the famous waterwheel, and Australia's tallest mainland lighthouse. This is a place where the forces of the Southern and Indian Oceans collide, creating a dramatic spectacle that's sure to leave an indelible mark on your journey.
Our next destination is the Karri Valley forest, where you can immerse yourself in nature's tranquillity. A leisurely bushwalk leads you to the Beedelup Waterfalls, a breathtaking natural wonder that invites you to contemplate the serenity of the forest and its seasonal wildflower displays.
For those seeking a refreshing dip, you'll have the opportunity to swim in natural surroundings teeming with wildlife, including kangaroos, emus, and an array of birdlife. It's a chance to connect with the untamed heart of Western Australia.
You'll spend the night in Pemberton, a cozy and welcoming base for your exploration of the region.
Day 3: From Pemberton to Albany
On day three, our journey leads us through the towering old-growth Karri forests, culminating at the Bicentennial Tree. This towering giant once served as a fire lookout point and still stands as one of the world's highest treetop viewpoints. Ascend it if you dare, and you'll be rewarded with awe-inspiring views that stretch as far as the eye can see.
Continuing the adventure, you'll traverse the Valley of the Giants, where you'll discover the astonishing Tree Top Walk. This canopy boardwalk, suspended 40 meters above the forest floor, offers a unique perspective on the ancient Tingle forest. Walking through the treetops is an experience that transports you to another world, surrounded by the forest's grandeur.
Our journey takes us to the Elephant Rocks, where massive granite formations sculpted by nature's hand create a stunning contrast with the crystal-clear waters of Greens Pool. It's an idyllic place to unwind, relax, and immerse yourself in the serene atmosphere.
As the day winds down, we arrive in Albany, a city steeped in history and natural beauty. Your overnight stay in Albany ensures you have time to explore this charming coastal town.
Day 4: Albany to Perth
Your final day of adventure begins with a hearty breakfast (at your own expense). We start by ascending to the top of Mt Clarence, offering stunning panoramas of King George Sound, the distant islands, and the charming Albany Township.
You'll have the opportunity to visit the Mt Romance Sandalwood Factory, where you can indulge your senses in the fragrant world of sandalwood. There's also a chance to sample local wines at a nearby winery, further enhancing your palate with the region's unique flavours.
Discover the rich history of Albany at Amity Brig, the local museum, and the iconic Dog Rock. Traveling through pastoral landscapes, we'll pass through the quaint regional townships of Mt Barker, Kojonup, and Williams. If time allows, we may even make a stop at a fruit orchard, where you can sample fresh, locally grown produce, adding a delicious note to your journey.
